PDP Revives Street Drama to Deceive People Once Again: Imran Shah

Politics of Corruption & Nepotism Laid Bare; PDP Workers Desert Party in Anantnag. "Hundreds Quit PDP, Join NC in Anantnag"

Anantnag, 20 Dec : Lambasting the PDP leadership for what he termed as “tactical dramas,” Senior National Conference leader and District vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, on Saturday said that the PDP is once again attempting to mislead the people of J&K by resorting to the same hollow slogans and false promises it used prior to the 2014 elections.
Shah said that after deceiving the people, the PDP went on to enjoy power by aligning with the BJP, which resulted in total neglect of J&K and pushed the region into its present state of suffering due to the party’s failed and disastrous policies.

Addressing a function at Shikar Mohalla Teilwani, Anantnag, where several prominent PDP workers including Gh Nabi Dar, Nazir Ah wagay, Ghr Rasol Bhat, Mushtaq Ah Shah Faroq Ah Naiko, Gh Hasaan lone and many others joined the National Conference, Shah said that the NC has a long history of sacrifices and remains fully committed to fulfilling the promises made to the people.

He asked the PDP leadership to introspect instead of pointing fingers at the National Conference, stating that it was the PDP that pushed the state and its youth to the brink. “This is the same party that institutionalised corruption and nepotism, bulldozed the future of educated youth, and misused institutions for personal comfort and family gains,” Shah said.
He added that the PDP’s slogan of “self-rule” was never meant for empowering the people but was designed to benefit only a select few. “Contracts, jobs and even elite postings were distributed among family members and close associates, leaving the common man betrayed,” he said.

Shah said that feeling suffocated within the PDP, workers are now convinced by the pro-people policies and agenda of the National Conference, which is why hundreds of PDP workers are joining the NC. “Our party is committed to uplifting the people, and under the able leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah Sahib and Omar Abdullah Sahib, we will continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

Lauding the recent statement of Hon’ble Minister FCS&CA, Satish Sharma Ji, regarding the fulfillment of the election promise of providing 20 kg ration and gas cylinders within the next six months, Shah said that since assuming office, the NC-led government has remained focused on delivering its commitments. “Within one year, people of Jammu and Kashmir will witness that all promises made by the National Conference during elections are fulfilled,” he asserted.
