Kulgam, Sep 17: Amid tight security election parties being dispatched for polling stations across Devsar constituency on Tuesday an official said.
He said that polling parties, along with EVMS, is being sent to all the 127 stations set up across the constituency going to polls in the first phase of ongoing General election to legislative assembly tomorrow on Sep 18.
“127 Polling Stations have been set up across the constituency, with 112381 voters are enrolled including 56199 Male, 56175 female and 7 transgender, adding the voting will take place from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm and before that there will be a mock poll in the Polling Stations in presence of the polling agents. Also, the voting will continue even after 6.00 pm, if the voter’s queue is still there in the Polling Station premises to exercise their right to vote”, he said.
“All polling stations equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF’s) like drinking water, electricity, toilet, ramp, furniture, verandah/shed besides wheel chairs will also be provided to the needy. The ballot unit will also have a list of contesting candidates in brail script”, he said.
