Kulgam, April 10: Army’s 1 Rashtriya Rifles (1RR) organized a free medical camp in Parigam Payeen area of Kulgam district in collaboration with Sub District Hospital Yaripora, aiming to provide essential healthcare services to the local population.
During the camp, a team of doctors and paramedical staff conducted medical check-ups of patients and distributed free medicines. Dozens of residents from the area availed the services and received consultation and treatment for various ailments.
The initiative witnessed a positive response from the locals, who appreciated the efforts of the Army and the health department for reaching out to the community and ensuring access to basic healthcare facilities at their doorstep.
Officials said such outreach programmes are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen civil-military cooperation and to address healthcare needs, particularly in rural and far-flung areas where access to medical services remains limited.
They reiterated that similar initiatives will continue in the future to benefit the people of the region.
