Kulgam, Sep 5: Election campaign rallies are being held across Devsar constituency, Contesting candidates of different political parties including independent candidates campaigning rallies at many areas of Devsar constituency since last one week, even in areas which was once famous for stone pelting and election boycotts.
Election campaign rallies are being held in every nook and corner of Devsar constituency including Khudwani, Qaimoh Frisal and these are the same areas which used to be infamous for stone pelting and shutdowns. And with no election rallies around these areas, they also had minimal voter percentage too, but this time around, the situation seems to have taken a 180-degree turn. seems that all previous voter turnout records would be broken by looking at the people’s participation in the election rallies.
Election atmosphere in Devsar Constituency and the campaigning and people participation, and road shows are having a huge response. The atmosphere of normalcy is an indicator that the poll percentage will be much higher than the poll percentage of the 2019 elections.
Election campaign is at its height, Contesting candidates are busy in triumphing public attention. As every political party has their own enthusiastic fans and they are chanting their best slogans for their own franchise, the Old-new slogan “AayaAaya Sher Aaya” in 2019 election is trending. It is up to a single Kashmiri, to decide the real king “sher”.
Supporters of different political parties are filled the air with high pitch slogans of “Jeet Hamari, Inshallah “ [God willing, victory will be ours].
The constituency is slated for elections in the first phase of the General Elections, scheduled for September 18.
In 40-Devsar AC there are 112381 voters including 56199 Male, 56175 female and 7 transgender and 127 polling stations have been established in Devsar AC.
