Devsar (Kulgam) Sep 16: Residential house were gutted in a fire incident at Devsar area of south kashmiri’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.
Sources said that fire broke out in a residential houses of belonging to Gull Mohd Bhat son of Mohd Yousuf bhat of Devsar.
“Soon after the incident Police led by SHO Devsar Masood, CRPF, F&ES were rushed to the spot and the fire was contained, however not before the blaze had razed the structure to ashes”,an eyewitness said.
“We are homeless, our whole struggle of whole life turned into ashes, whatever we had inherited has gone as now everything is black”, said wailing women whose house gutted.
“It took nearly an hour for the fire brigade to reach our area,” a local resident said expressed strong resentment against the authorities, stating that they were informed time and again to set up a fire station in the area. Still, no attention was paid, resulting in property worth lakhs being damaged every year in fire-related incidents”,
