Says Pitch for mainstream, youth agenda; Election plank would be the problems being faced by youth, who have not been properly represented till now

Kulgam, Aug 28: Day after filed his nomination paper for Devsar assembly constituency, as an independent, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, a former member of Jamaat-e-Islami said it is pleasure to see that ’Jamaat-i-Islami’ being allowed to contest assembly elections in J&K.

Speaking to media, bhat said “regional parties who have contested elections from ages did injustice with J&K people, adding it is pleasure to see that ’Jamaat-i-Islami’ being allowed to contest assembly elections in J&K, so that they can serve the people here”, he said.


“Youngsters should participate in the elections as they knew the fact for being away from electoral participation, as they have been exploited by the politicians from ages”, he said.


He said his election plank would be the problems being faced by youth, who have not been properly represented till now.


“There are many things that I would like to work for such as employment for youth, weaning them away from drug addiction, ensuring to uplift the Devsar constituency in every aspect”, he added.
