Kulgam Cop found dead in Srinagar

Kulgam, Aug 17: A police officer from Yaripora area of South Kashmiri’s Kulgam district was found dead at Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar district.

An official told that an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), presently posted at the Ahmad Nagar police station was found unconscious in his room yesterday late night.

“Officer was immediately shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival” he said.

He identified the cop as Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Yaripora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam.

Meanwhile, Police have launched investigation in the matter.
