Nowbugh Kund residents in Kulgam hold protest against water scarcity; Seek LG’s intervention

Kulgam July 10: The residents of Nowbugh kund village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday staged a protest against the Jal Shakti (PHE) department kulgam over the issue of non-availability of drinking water in the area.

Scores of the residents including men, women and children assembled on Road and raised Slogans against Jal Shakti department kulgam for failing to provide drinking over in their area.

Protestors block Kund Quazigund road alleged that matter has been brought to the notice of the concerned administration but no improvement has been witnessed so far which forced us to hit streets.

The Residents said that we are demanding clean drinking water for their survival as the area is facing acute shortage of drinking water facilities from last one month.

The protesters appealed to higher authorities to look into the matter and to redress the problem at the earliest so that people can feel some sort of relief.
