
Kulgam, Mar 28: As part of its ongoing public outreach programme, Kulgam Police on Saturday organized a PCPG meeting, also observed as Thana Diwas, at Police Station Behibagh.
The meeting was conducted under the directions of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Anayat Ali Chowdhury (IPS) and was presided over by DySP PC Hatipora. It witnessed active participation from Numbardars, Chowkidars, traders, transporters, students, Auqaf members, and other members of the civil society.
During the session, police officials created awareness about the newly introduced criminal laws and sensitized participants on key issues including cyber fraud, drug abuse, crimes against women, and other social concerns.
Locals raised various grievances during the interaction. Police officials assured prompt redressal, resolving several issues on the spot, while others were taken up with the concerned departments for further action.
The meeting highlighted the importance of police-public partnership in maintaining law and order and addressing emerging social challenges in the district.
