Kulgam, Oct 24: The wildlife department has installed cages in various locations within the Brinal Lammer area of Devsar Belt in Kulgam district following recent leopard attack in which one minor boy was killed, an official said.
Talking to Voice of India, Incharge Wildlife department Kulgam, Imtiyaz Naik told that they are conducting search operations in the area where the attack occurred.
“The cages have been placed in different spots to ensure the leopard can be captured alive, thereby preventing further loss of human life in the area,”
“We urges people to remain vigilant and provide information regarding the movement of leopard. However, he said the leopard had not been sighted since yesterday”, he said.
Notably, A three-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Brinal Lammer village on Wednesday evening, The boy was identified as Sehran Manzoor Bumla, son of Manzoor Ahmad Bumla.
