
Kulgam, Dec 22: Authorities in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Friday warned private schools for being involved carrying schooling activities, taking new admissions during winter break.
“Complaints are pouring in that most of the Private Educational Institutions are carrying on Schooling activities Despite announcement of winter vacations w.e.f 28th November 2023 vide DSEK Srinagar order no. 310 DSEK of 2023, dated 25/11/2023. Moreover reports are also pouring from various quarters that some schools are indulged in inititating the admission process for new academic sessions as well, which is gross violation of Govt. Orders, Uniform Academic calendar”, reads a circular issued by Chief Education Officer Kulgam.
“In light of the above, It is hereby enjoined upon all the recognised private schools operating in the district to desist from all such practices and to abide Govt rules/orders to avoid disciplinary action. Further, the Zonal level committees constituted vide this office order no. CEO/K/Pvt/7621-24/23: Dated 16/12/2023 shall ensure implementation of the Govt. orders in letter and spirit keeping focus on the above issues in their administrative jurisdiction and recommend the case if any, to this office for further strict disciplinary action on daily basis”, adding, “Registration of private schools found guilty of violating the aforementioned orders from the directorate will be cancelled.”
