Kulgam, Dec 3: First give us scheduled electricity before talking about free 200 units, furious locals slam the elected government led by CM Omar Abdullah, as Kulgam sinks deeper into a severe power crisis.
Residents report that despite the freezing winter and dipping temperatures, power remains erratic, unpredictable, and often completely absent turning daily life into a struggle for survival.
Local residents said no official is taking their distress seriously, accusing the administration of delivering only promises while failing to provide even basic, scheduled electricity.
“We too are humans. Our children, our elders, everyone is suffering. No one is bothered,” locals lament, demanding immediate intervention and a transparent power schedule.
The frustration on the ground is boiling over with people questioning how the government can promise free electricity when it cannot even ensure regular supply.
