Have joined recently: All pending certificates will be issued within 2 days, says BDO

Kulgam, Feb 29: Residents of various areas of Kund belt in south Kashmiri’s Kulgam district complained that they have applied for issuance of birth and death certificates two months ago but Block office Kund yet to issue the same since then leaves us ‘high and dry’

A large number of people who have applied for the issuance of birth and death certificate to the respective Block office Kund even a two month ago or more are still waiting for any response. In a few cases, the additional documents were sought by the concerned staff, but despite submitting the same, no clue could be received about the delivery of their certificates for month.

Kashmir Upfront is receiving numerous such grievances of the public every day. The people are generally alleging delay in issuance of certificates through online mode and frequent breakdown in the system.

A local said that he had applied online for birth certificate certificate on January this year at BDO Office Kund but since the he is yet to receive the same from the BDO Office.

When Contacted Block Development Officer (BDO) Kund, Arif Ayaz acknowledged the dalay, adding that I have joined recently and all the pending certificates would be issued within two days.
