Kulgam, Dec 12: In a major enforcement drive against improperly documented vehicles, Kulgam Police on Saturday seized more than 30 vehicles found plying on roads without mandatory transfer of ownership after sale–purchase
Acting on the directions of SSP Kulgam, Shri Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS), dedicated police teams were deployed at multiple locations across the district to check compliance. During the drive, over 30 vehicles bearing outside J&K registration numbers were seized for violating transfer norms.
Police have urged vehicle owners to promptly update ownership documents after every sale–purchase transaction. Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against violators and similar enforcement drives will continue in the coming days.
