Kulgam, March 23: In a significant move to reinforce the security framework in Kulgam district, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Shri Anayat Ali Chowdhary (IPS), on Monday chaired a high-level joint security review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Kulgam, bringing together senior officers from Police, Army, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The meeting witnessed the participation of Commanding Officers from various CRPF battalions, including 18-BN, 163-BN, 46-BN, and 90-BN, along with officers from 9 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 34 RR. Additional SP Kulgam Shri Mohd Aftab Awan (JKPS) was also present during the deliberations.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to comprehensively review the prevailing security scenario in the district and to fine-tune strategies for maintaining law and order.

SSP Kulgam laid strong emphasis on maintaining proper coordination, synergy, and professionalism among all security agencies, stating that unified efforts are key to effectively tackling emerging challenges, particularly in anti-terror operations.

SSP stressed the need for heightened vigilance, proactive policing, and swift response mechanisms to prevent any untoward incidents.

He called for enhanced intelligence gathering and real-time information sharing to ensure operational efficiency and preparedness.

The discussions also revolved around assessing potential threats, strengthening emergency response systems, and improving inter-agency communication to ensure seamless coordination during critical situations.

Special attention was given to the security of minority communities residing in the district.

Officers reviewed existing measures and deliberated on further steps to enhance their safety and instill a sense of confidence among them.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participating forces to work in close coordination, ensuring peace, stability, and security across Kulgam district.
