
Srinagar, Mar 23: Swift action by CRPF’s 46 Battalion personnel proved crucial in saving lives after a road accident at Badragund in Qazigund on Monday.
Officials said a speeding truck collided with a Tavera, leaving five persons injured. Acting promptly, the CRPF team led by Company Commander Prem Kumar rushed to the spot and administered immediate first aid to the injured, stabilizing them before their evacuation.
All injured were shifted to Emergency Hospital Qazigund, where doctors referred three critically injured persons to GMC Anantnag for advanced treatment.
Eyewitnesses and locals lauded the timely intervention of the CRPF personnel, saying their quick response significantly aided the victims during the critical moments after the crash.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation.
