Anantnag, Sept 06:: In connection with the auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) organized drinking water facilities at various locations across Anantnag district to serve the devotees who participated in religious processions and gatherings.
Thousands of people thronged different parts of the town to mark the blessed day, particularly in areas like Rishi Bazar, Lal Chowk, Janglat-mandi, Laizbal and adjoining localities where large processions were taken out. To ensure that the devotees faced no inconvenience, NC workers had set up stalls providing clean drinking water throughout the day.
The initiative was warmly welcomed and widely appreciated by the participants. Many devotees expressed gratitude to the National Conference for the thoughtful gesture, describing it as a reflection of the party’s commitment to community service and welfare.
Local residents said such arrangements added to the convenience of people and helped maintain the spirit of brotherhood, unity, and devotion associated with the celebrations of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.
Party functionaries present on the occasion said that the NC has always been at the forefront of serving people in both festive and difficult times, and reiterated their resolve to continue similar initiatives in the future.
The district administration had also put in place adequate security and traffic arrangements for the peaceful and smooth conduct of the religious processions.
