Anantnag, April 05:: Welcoming the recently passed Private Universities Bill by the J&K Assembly, Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Vice District President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, stated that the historic legislation will open new avenues for quality higher education within Jammu & Kashmir.

He said that the move will significantly reduce the need for students to pursue education outside the region and will also attract reputed institutions to invest in J&K, thereby generating employmenty opportunities for local youth.
Shah was speaking at a function held at Prakashpora Anchidora today.

Imran Shah further stated that the National Conference remains committed to fulfilling the promises made to the people, and that its leadership is determined to steer Jammu & Kashmir out of the present morass and uncertainty. He added that the opposition, frustrated by the pro-people and welfare-oriented decisions of the Omar Abdullah-led government, has resorted to rhetoric in an attempt to create confusion among the masses.

He asserted that such elements bear responsibility for many of the challenges currently facing Jammu & Kashmir.

While welcoming new entrants into the party fold, including Reyaz Ah Bhat, Bashir Ah Bhat, Javid Ah Bhat, Imtiyaz Ah Bhat and Mushtaq Ah Bhat. Shah said that these individuals had grown disillusioned with what he described as the arrogance and anti-people policies of the PDP. He added that they were convinced by the NC’s commitment to public welfare and people-centric governance, which motivated them to join the party.

Imran Shah assured that the development of these areas would remain a top priority for the party.
