Srinagar, Oct 21: Udhampur police have recovered Rs 6 Crore worth Heroine at Chennai and one Kulgam resident has been arrested.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur, Amod Ashok Nagpure, said that “Yesterday evening, a special team of Chennai police stopped a suspicious vehicle during a check post in which we seized around 700 grams of heroin from a person named Mohammad Ashraf, who is a resident of Kulgam, Kashmir.
“The value of the seized heroin in the international market is around Rs. 6 crores. This person is a drug peddler and had come here with the intention of selling drugs in Udhampur. So he has been arrested and a FIR has been registered in Chennai police station”, he said.
“We are investigating the matter and will expose the entire network as soon as possible”, he said.
