Anantnag, April, 06: On the directions of the National Conference President Jenab Dr. Farooq Abdullah, senior National Conference leader and Vice District President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, undertook an extensive visit to several adjoining areas of the district. His outreach included the villages of Teelwani, Magripora, Kidpora, Toor, Issoss and other neighboring localities in Anantnag Central Segment.

During his visit, Imran Shah met with various local delegations and community members to assess their pressing concerns, hear grievances, and assure them of the party’s continued commitment to safeguarding the rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated the National Conference’s dedication to preserving the unique identity, culture, and constitutional rights of the region.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of his tour, Imran Shah responded to a question regarding the recent visit of the Union Home Minister to Jammu and Kashmir. In his remarks, Shah stated, “We have seen many such visits in the past. These visits are symbolic and have not led to any substantial change on the ground. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have unwavering faith in their own leadership. We have our own Chief Ministerial face, and it is the people’s trust in the National Conference and its leadership that will pave the way forward.”

Shah further emphasized the need for restoration of democratic rights in the region and called for early assembly elections so that the voice of the people can be reflected through a representative government.

Shah said: The National Conference continues to stand firmly with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and remains committed to a peaceful, democratic, and dignified resolution to all issues concerning the region.
